Kyle Busch didn’t make the Chase for the Cup last season, he was just too in consistent.  They fired his crew chief and brought in Dave Rogers and Busch hasn’t seen victory lane yet this season.  Busch has made a habit of piling up the wins early in the season.  Kyle believes that the reason he hasn’t won a race this season has nothing to do with him, he seems to put the blame on his team. (Boy that’s a surprise!).  Busch talks about his lack of victories on todays edition of The Race Report Update

PS Kyle’s former crew chief already has a win with his new team!

The 2009 season couldn’t have started any better for Matt Kenseth.  He leaves Daytona with a win in the Daytona 500 and then picks up his second victory of the season in California in the second race of the season.  Well that was the highlight of the year for Matt Kenseth.  He went on to end the season by missing the Chase for the Cup for the first time ever.  After the first race of the season, even though he had a top ten finish, Kenseth requested a change of crew chief.  Kenseth is sitting in second position in the points after four races and he talks about the start of this season on today edition of The Race Report Update.

Wednesday’s Race Report Update

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

By Sam Atwell

What a difference an off season makes for some teams.  Last season Richard Childress Racing had four teams in the Sprint Cup Series.  After placing all of the RCR teams in the Chase the previous two seasons no one expected what happened to the RCR Teams.  Not one of those teams made the Chase last season.  They even struggled to stay in the top twenty in points.  Fast Forward to 2010 and two races into the season RCR has scaled back to three teams and all three teams are in the top five in the point standings.  Now two races doesn’t make a season, but it is a vast improvement over last season.  Kevin Harvick, who was rumored to be leaving RCR, talks about the changes and improvements on todays edition of The Race Report Update.
