Danica has been in NASCAR for just one week and already has had her second press conference.  Her car owner, Dale Earnhardt Junior, and Danica met with the media on Thursday to announce when and where Danica will start her stock car career.  There has been lots of speculation where she would race her first Nationwide Series race and those questions have been put to rest with Thurday’s announcement.  Junior talks about his newest driver and her schedule on todays edition of The Race Report Update.

Rick Hendrick didn’t get to be a nine-time champion car owner by making bad decisions.  One decision still hasn’t panned out and that is the decision to bring Dale Earnhardt, Junior to Hendrick Motorsports.  The goal of Hendrick and Junior was to win races and championships.  Well the 88 team has only one win in two seasons and the ‘09 season was horrible.  Even a change in crew chief didn’t change the results.  Mr. Hendrick hasn’t said a whole lot publicly about the problems at the 88 team, but he talks about the future of the 88 team on todays edition of The Race Report Update.

Even though most of the attention is on the driver in NASCAR there is a component that is there for every victory and defeat, that is the crew chief.  Jimmie Johnson is a four time champion and Chad Knaus has been there for all of them.  Chad Knaus is the driving force behind the #48 team.  Not taking away anything from Jimmie, but they are the ultimate team.  Chad Knaus is known for his tireless work, hardly ever taking time off.  Chad Knaus talks about what he is going to do this off season and next season on todays edition of The Race Report Update.
