Friday’s Race Report Update

The Sprint Cup Series heads to a scary venue this weekend, Talladega.  The scary thing about Talladege is how unpredictable it can be.  Drivers really don’t like going to Talladega, even less during the Chase for the Cup.  The last time the Cup Series was here a very scary crash on the front stretch for Carl Edwards.  If you are in the Chase the scary part is the big one.  One big crash could change the point standings and wipeout a drivers chance for a championship.  Ryan Newman had a front row seat to “the big one” in the spring race and he talks about racing at Talladega on todays edition of The Race Report Update.

Mark Martin hasn’t always been the most positive person, he has always been the “glass is half empty” kind of person.  This season may have changed him.  Mark has had one of the best seasons of his career.  Going to a track where he has had some bad luck hasn’t dampened Martin’s spirits.  Martin talks about his chances this weekend on todays edition of The Race Report Update.

Wednesday’s Race Report Update

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Back in the spring at Talladega we were headed for an exciting finish to the race when “the big one” happened.  Carl Edwards went to block the move of Brad Keselowski and got turned and ended up in the catch fence on the front stretch.  This was one of them racin’ deals.  No one did anything wrong.  As the Cup Series heads back to Talladega Carl Edwards wasn’t thinking about the crash until he saw a picture this week.  Carl talks about heading to Talladega on todays edition of The Race Report Update.
