Kyle Busch is Something Else

I have been accused, in some of my writings, of being a Kyle Busch hater. I have never been a Kyle hater. I have always said the only thing I didn’t like about the youngster was the way he chooses to act on occasion. I particularly have taken exception to the way he treats crew members. He has screamed and yelled at the pit crew, he has walked away from the car after a race leaving the car on the track (to be retrieved by the pit crew) and generally been, at times, a sore loser.
With the recent sweep of the Richmond races I have to say that, even though, I don’t care for his personality I have to give the kid props for being an unbelievable driver. There is nothing that Kyle can’t drive and drive well.
In just about every Sprint Cup victory Kyle puts on a dominating show. There is no “closest finish in NASCAR history” on his resume. When he gets out front, he turns it into a two, three, four or more second lead. When he is out front he just doesn’t seem to make a lot of errors. I guess what so many fans dislike about him is the fact that he wins in a dominate way and then kind of rubs their nose in it.
I think the most impressive thing about him is the fact that he now owns 51 victories, spread across the Cup Series, the Nationwide Series and the Truck Series. Most drivers don’t get that many in a career! Let alone at the young age of 24.
Kyle Busch will be a force to be reckoned with for a very long time. He is going to win a lot more races, this season, in his career. He may even go down as the best driver ever, he has a long way to go to get there, but he has the talent.
So love him, or hate him you cannot deny the talent he has and he is here to stay and here to get under your skin, just a little bit.
